The IAdChem will participate in the European Researchers Night 2024 on 27th September 2024 with these three activities:
1) Transformation of plastic waste and excess CO2 into technological products
This activity is organized by members from the Nanomaterials and the Frontiers in Catalysis groups. Two different workshops in which participants will be able to recycle waste by moulding and using 3D syringes and will also learn more about CO2 and photocatalysis.
This activity is organized by members from the Nanomaterials group. In this workshop the participants will be explained the science behind delicious dishes such as ice cream or carbonated drinks, but we will also be able to see some haute cuisine processes such as spherification or instant cooking.
3) Light to diagnose, light to cure
This activity is organized by members from the nanoBIG group. A workshop with 5 stations where you can explore the different uses of light in medicine through experiments and demonstrations.
The three activities will take place in the Plaza Mayor of the UAM campus on 27th September from 17:00 to 21:00. Do not miss it!
