Location: Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Requirements: PhD title, good English level and high motivation. International postdoctoral stays will be positively evaluated.
Main background: Supramolecular/Polymer/Organic Chemistry.
Additional experience: Strong background in Organic Chemistry and previous experience in Supramolecular Chemistry and thermomechanical characterization of polymer materials are not required but will be positively considered. Research will be highly oriented to market applications so experience in patenting will be also valued.
Research focus: Development of novel supramolecular polymer networks with potential applications as self-healing coatings. Research will be centered on polymer synthesis, and on their structural, supramolecular, thermomechanical and self-healing characterization.
Funding project: Analysis of the Possibilities of Novel Self-Healing Plastic Coatings (HealCoat; Ref. PDC2021-121487-I00).
Duration: 12-16 months (might be extended).
Expected starting date: July-September 2023.
