We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jos\u00e9 Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez Salas has been granted with a M\u20ac 1,6 Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Doctoral Network 2023 funded by the European Commission.<\/p>\n

The Doctoral Network “Photocatalytic Industrial Applications” (PIA, Grant Agreement Nr. 101168878) will train 6 doctoral candidates in the field of photocatalysis applied to the pharmaceutical industry. PhD trainers in pharmaceutically applied photochemistry will be in high demand by industry in the coming years considering that one of the pillars of the European Union is the use of renewable energy sources for the production of chemicals. To achieve this objective, the PIA consortium combines the drug discovery research experience of three pharmaceutical European companies (Sanofi-Aventis, Seqens and Synthelia Organics) with the outstanding research in the field of photocatalysis of three academic groups (FRONCAT, G\u00e9raldine Masson<\/a> and Olga Garc\u00eda-Manche\u00f1o<\/a>).<\/p>\n
